Missed Your Man?

Ladies, do you ever think about why you are single? Why can’t I find the right guy for me? All the good black men are taken by white women or they are gay. Really? Well maybe you’ve missed your man. Have you ever thought about your standards being too high? You’ve placed yourself so high on the throne that any man that comes your way is beneath you. He’s ugly, too fat, not intelligent enough, to sweet, not thuggish enough, too smart, not athletic enough, etc. …
As I sit by the phone, I can’t help but remain seated; glued to the television screen, as I watch the destruction and chaos stemming from an earthquake destined to bring about change to a country in need. In a state of shock, I sit here motionless for hours at a time waiting for a news from my mother, my uncles, sisters and cousins I cant help but look the cross that I wear across my chest and utter those oh so familiar word “ father why have you forsaken me?”

Been thinkin’ ya’ll…about 2009 and all the great things and not-so great things that have happened this year. There are just too many to list on both sides. So what I have decided to do is share the top five things I have learned in 2009.
I am me. In all of the world, there is no one that is exactly like me. There are people who have characteristics similar to mine, but no one adds up to be my exact match. Everything that comes out of me is authentic~ because I chose it. I own everything about me!
Now don’t get me wrong a large portion of new cases are because of ignorance and poor awareness of self health but there are those who had little control on contracting this virus.
